Your social work license expires December 31, 2025! North Dakota State Law requires persons engaged in social work practice to be licensed. Renew your license now by logging on to the NDBSWE web site at www.ndbswe.com and click on License Renewal under the Licensure tab.

The fee for renewal is $75. For late renewals received online between November 16, 2025, and December 31, 2025, a $75 late fee will be assessed in addition to the $75 renewal fee.

All renewal applications and renewal fees received online after December 31, 2025, will be returned and your license will expire. In order to become licensed again, you will be required to complete the initial licensure process, which includes a re-take of the examination! THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD FOR EXPIRED LICENSES!

**PLEASE NOTE! This year will be a little different with your license. If you need a copy of your license, you can follow the link here to print a copy for your records. If you need a physical copy with the seal, please fill out the following form: https://forms.gle/QA2UcYWUGZzbZbUk7. We will print for you and mail it to the address listed in your file.

During online renewal, please do not use the back button in your browser. To make a change to answers on a previous page or to review your renewal before submitting, please use the "Save for Later" button to save your renewal, log back in to access and review the previous pages. If at any time you wish to exit the process, please click the "Exit" button located at the bottom of the page.

If you will be away from your computer for any period of time after starting your online renewal, it is strongly advised that you click on the "Save for Later" button located at the bottom of each page to minimize the risk of losing the data that you have input into the system. You can then log back into the renewal at a later time by logging into the online renewal.
