Notice: NEW CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS! All licensees must submit 30 contact hours of continuing education earned in the current licensure period of January 1, 2012 thru November 15, 2013. AT LEAST 2 of the 30 contact hours MUST CONCERN SOCIAL WORK ETHICS. To qualify for social work ethics, the content must relate specifically to social work ethics, e.g. NASW Code of Ethics, ethical decision making frameworks for social workers, social work ethics case studies, ethical dilemmas in social work, etc. Business ethics does not qualify. NO MORE THAN 10 CONTACT HOURS may be completed by SELF-STUDY OR DISTANCE LEARNING methods! Persons obtaining their initial license after January 1, 2013 are required to submit 15 contact hours. If initial licensure is obtained after July 1, 2013, there is no contact hours requirement, for this current licensing period only!
