Social Work is a Public Trust. The major reason for licensure is to protect citizens from unethical or negligent social work practice. It is illegal to practice social work in North Dakota without a license. Before you consult or hire a social worker, call the NDBSWE office at 701-222-0255 to verify the social worker's license.
